In-person: Improving GP engagement in the Return to Work process

ARPA Tasmania, in partnership with TAVRP, is pleased to invite you to an in-person event featuring Dr Rob Walters, a highly respected Hobart-based GP with over 37 years of clinical and leadership experience.

FOCUS

This session will explore the critical role general practitioners play in supporting workers with injuries to achieve safe and sustainable return to work outcomes. Dr Walters will offer a unique and personal perspective on the challenges and opportunities in engaging GPs more effectively in this process—drawing on his extensive experience in occupational health, policy advisory roles, and collaborative care models.

Dr Walters brings a wealth of experience as a Medical Director, a national Men’s Health Ambassador, and a long-standing advocate for rural, mental, and occupational health. His leadership on numerous boards, including Primary Health Tasmania, the Cancer Council of Tasmania, and Beyond Blue, enriches his holistic view of the health and recovery landscape.
