ABOUT

Psychological injury claims are among the most challenging in the workers compensation system, and the most likely to stall, escalate, or result in poor outcomes when the professionals around them don't understand what they're actually dealing with.
This session offers rehabilitation and return to work professionals a practical, clinically grounded framework for understanding psychological injury and complex claims. Drawing on her specialist experience as a clinical psychologist working at the intersection of PTSD, workers compensation, and medico-legal assessment, the webinar unpacks what makes these claims complex, how to communicate more effectively with injured workers, and what actually helps workers progress with recovery, without inadvertently making things worse. Attendees will leave with better clinical literacy, clearer strategies for working alongside treating psychologists, and a more confident approach to one of the sector's most difficult challenges.

PRESENTED BY
Lisa Irving is a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in work-related PTSD and psychological injury. As the founder of Revive Health and Happiness and Virtuosa AI, she works at the intersection of clinical practice, medico-legal assessment, and professional training for the workers compensation and rehabilitation sector.
Lisa brings the depth of a clinician who works directly with injured workers alongside the strategic perspective of someone who trains and supports the professionals around them. She has a particular interest in work related PTSD cases and in giving rehabilitation professionals the psychological literacy they need to genuinely help clients progress with their recovery.
