Electronic Screening Tool for High-Risk Workers: Identifying Prolonged Recovery Factors

IPAR’s commitment to improving early support for clients with musculoskeletal injuries through the proactive identification of poor prognostic factors/recovery barriers early post injury makes them a truly innovative provider and deserving recipient. This approach is reducing long term disability, chronic pain and improving recovery and return to work outcomes.

The client is a national food manufacturing provider and distribution service and having a widespread workforce, the client sought Elizabeth’s assistance to increase the health literacy of their staff and empower them to take control of their health.  A comprehensive project was introduced to encourage their workers to incorporate stretching and exercise into their daily routine and make their health a priority.  The project was piloted in Victoria and subsequently scaled up and implemented nationwide and it catalysed a cultural shift towards prioritising health and wellness in the workplace.

About the award: The President’s Award is solely determined by the ARPA VIC President – no nominations are accepted – and is presented to an individual who has demonstrated continuous contribution to the workplace rehabilitation industry over a five year or greater period.
