The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) has published two new online resources for professionals and families to help children recover emotionally after a car crash.

This guide provides information primarily for health professionals and the insurance industry on how to help a child recover emotionally after a car crash. It includes information on assessment and treatment, and where to go for more information.

This guide explains what children can think, feel or do after an accident and suggests ways parents and families can assist their child.

These resources were developed in partnership with Professor Justin Kenardy and Dr Katrina Moss from the Recover Injury Research Centre, The University of Queensland.
